Cotton silk is a blend of cotton and silk. Clothes made of this fabric are lightweight, soft, breathable, and have an elegant sheen. This hybrid fabric is especially popular as it can be worn with comfort and ease during both summers and winters.
A traditional fabric characterized by its lightweight, sheer texture and fine luxurious feel Maheshwari is intricately woven by hand. The weave is interspersed with the delicacy of the extra weft motifs in silk and Zari in the traditional cotton yarn which results in the creation of the shimmering texture.
The fabric takes its name from the small town of Maheshwar in Madhya Pradesh where this craft has been nurtured over centuries.
